Beth El 7th/8th Grade Retreat November 2026

Last year our 7th graders lamented the lack of an overnight trip, so, this year, we're gonna try one!

MCPS is closed on November 2 and 3, so we're planning an overnight to Capital Camps!

We need at least 10 kids to sign up to make this program happen, so please talk to your friends and sign up early so we can secure the date with Capital!

We will depart Monday morning and return Tuesday afternoon.

The fee the trip is $180 per person.

If we get 20 kids to register we can ask to get moved to Nesiya Lodge!

**Beth El has received a generous gift from the Bloom Family to help make Jewish educational experiences more attainable for families. We want every teen to be able to attend this program without causing financial burden. Expectations of Particapants

We are confident that all participants will exercise appropriate judgment during the program. This includes refraining from the use or possession of drugs, alcohol, or weapons; abuse, defacement or theft of property; breaking curfew; unauthorized absence from programs or program site; or failure to cooperate with Beth El staff in all facets of the scheduled program. Infractions may result in disciplinary action. Should severe infractions occur, Beth El reserves the right to dismiss the student from the program and immediately transfer the student home at the participant’s family’s expense, without refund of program payments.

The cost of the trip per person is $200. Please note that the actual cost of the trip is $300 per student. All students receive a subsidy from the Elaine Tanenbaum Religious School Enrichment Fund. If you are inclined, you may pay the full cost of the trip and the difference in cost will be applied as a donation and tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
